SYNOPSIS

I am standing on my balcony and observing a house on the green hill which is situated exactly opposite me. I am thinking about the revolutionary design of the camera obscure by Leonardo da Vinci and that spot which, by the strength of light, passes the current state of things in. I am copying the dynamic of the design onto my position and in that abstract construction, I see myself as a point of omission and fraction. The time is passing by and the seasons are changing, and the image inside me is continually harmonizing with the courtyard scene. I analyse what I see and fantasize about all the instabilities which happen inside the chosen perception and I turn some of them into a film event.

I am a female tenant in Podolje 28 and I am standing across my own courtyard.

ABOUT THE FILM

During a three year period, using my camera from my own balcony, I have been archiving the view on a tiny little house situated on a green hill. I am analysing my own thoughts about the realization of that observation process. I am thinking how I can emphasize the perceptive event that I am noticing through the prism of the psychological-emotional mechanism. In the meantime, in parallel, the seasons are changing and in their own way, clearly and unequivocally, they are forming a whole spectre of colourful events which are actually one persuasive visual background of the human consciousness. I am creating the film, showing in one frame, two processes, that is, two current scenes, one recorded directly with the camera and the other simultaneously within myself. Doing so, I am using the expressive film interventions and textual sentence visions. In the process, I position myself as an author, that is, as an archivist and as a building resident. Observing any scenery always includes a spectre of tangible and intangible parallel processes. Inside this project, I am also researching some aspects of such processes in the scene defined, which I treat as a working material for the thought process, as well as for the very structure of the film.
